Na Makamae O Kawaiaha’o or Treasures of Kawaiaha’o aim to promote the use of technology to facilitate, share and adopt best practices and innovations and cultural heritage that will serve the Native Hawaiian community. We aim to encourage stewardship of these resources to further enhance civic engagement, cultural opportunities, and economic vitality in Hawaii and through the world. The treasures of the Church’s archival collection document the life of the church since its establishment in 1820.Notably, it is a repository of sacramental records, church membership, worship services, correspondence and meeting minutes. The preponderance of records written through the 1940s are written in Hawaiian (ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi).
